First and foremost I want to thank you for making your way over to my pages. There is so much I experience as a freelance musician that I feel I should be sharing it with the world? Maybe, let’s see how it goes. Would you like to know about my personal life? My career? My Upbringing? Why don’t you let me know? I’ll see what I can do!

Let’s Start with an Introduction. Hi, I’m Joshua Sierra-Delgado and I go by “Cellist The Josh.” I’m a freelance Cellist and Music Educator in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico and I grew up there until eventually my family decided to make the brave decision to immigrate to Virginia. Funny enough, they didn’t tell us we were moving, just taking a small summer vacation. So, I often say I’ve been on a very long vacation- now more than 15 years.
Luckily, the place we moved to had public school that taught music, thus I began my musical journey in Newport News, Va. Eventually I was put in front of a music director who saw the potential in me that I was not noticing, I DID NOT plan on becoming a musician at all, but the Lord/The Universe/Fate, whoever you subscribe to, had other plans for me. From moving to New Orleans, with no plan other than go to school and go trhough the motions, to moving to Denver, CO on a two day notice for a show, to somehow ending back in VA(Something I never Thought I’d Do), to hitting rockbottom and somehow getting back again. This Little Life has been, as my bestie in NOLA says, “INSAYNE.”
Now, I have been blessed with a life that not many are able to attain. Not withstanding the many…many trials and tribulations that the subsequent years brought on, but I’m very lucky to do what I do. Thank you for being here, I look forward to sharing a bit more of my story, my work, and my career with you. Stay Tuned.
