Cellist The Josh is a Puerto Rican cellist with 15+ years of experience, offering personalized performances for weddings, corporate events, and private lessons. He studied under Phil von Maltzahn at Loyola University New Orleans. While in the city of New Orleans, Cellist The Josh began specializing in both acoustic and electric cello, blending Classical, Pop, Jazz, R&B, and more to create a custom musical experience that fits any event's unique vibe. Based in Norfolk, VA, and available worldwide- Josh has worked with high-profile clients like Netflix’s “A Queens Ball: A Bridgerton Experience,” The Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Sarah Brightman’s “A Christmas Symphony,” America’s Got Talent BJ Griffin, Vienna Light Orchestra, Louisiana Philharmonic, and many more.

A fresh take on modern Cello, Cellist the Josh creates stunning and exciting arrangements of popular music with his loop pedals you’ll surely know. Currently he holds residencies at the Historic Cavalier Hotel during their Tea Times under Big Juicy Entertainment, River’s Casino Portsmouth, and a few performances a year at the Norfolk International Airport’s “Live From The Lobby’ live music series.
